JESC: Leave the kids alone?!

I've always wondered if the idea of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest is a good one or it is a way to exploit kids to make money. The ESC is a huge money machine, but is it fair to have it at the expense of children. Or, considering the other way - the international stage can be a serious springboard for any kid, a chance that doesn't happen to you every day. What do you reckon?
